Jeff,

I would keep my eye out for ethernet SIP -> Bluetooth Voice adapters.  Sorta like a Linksys SPA1001 with a Bluetooth voice interface instead of an analog FXS interface.  In theory, you could use this either as a SIP extension or an asterisk SIP peer.

This method would work out of the box with AstLinux, no work for Kristian.

This method would also allow you to place your SIP/Bluetooth adapter by your phone allowing your AstLinux box to be buried in the basement (like mine).

I have not seen such a critter, but why not?

It would be really cool if (probably when) we can install a Bluetooth

Jeff,

This looks cool, and I will certainly include it in my todo list.
However, it is a major undertaking as I would have to include bluetooth
support in the kernel, bluez, chan_bluetooth, etc.

When I have some time I can take care of this.
