Ingmar, I removed the toolchain_build_i686 and still get the same message.

I am running revision 457 and it brings in the uClib patches still.

I am finding the trunk enabling the 686 by default (which is fine by me) and
you stated 586, are you sure you have the latest trunk?

Still an issue, and removing the patches physically seems the only bypass.
If you wait till it fails, you need to remove the reject files as well.

In addition, the config files are still not correct because of the number of
questions MAKE kicks back out to the console.
