Carla,

        run ntpdate at boot - that's exactly what AstLinux does :).

        I should point out that the WRAP boards we had customized to use as the 
Starbox-X DO have RTC batteries...

        However, I have used WRAP boards with and without RTC batteries.  I 
have never found the lack of an RTC battery to be a significant problem.
