John, The astlinux web interface might be handy to view your rc.conf ( and other /etc/asterisk/ files ), but I would not use (trust) it to edit files. Besides, /etc/rc.conf is a link to a temp file in memory. (Possibly the Save As: and Submit_Changes should be removed in future versions?) You really should use "vi" while ssh'ed into your astlinux box, or, you could edit local copys of your config files on your PC and ftp them to your astlinix box when you make changes. Personally, I use "vi" to make interactive changes and then ftp the resulting files to my PC (Mac) for backup.
