So, I think I got to the end.... Final output form build is below. More
importantly, it created a Astlinux.iso file which I was able to boot inside
a VMWare machine. Unfortunately it didn't boot completely, last few lines
during boot (I entered 'livecd' at the boot prompt) say...

at which point I find myself at a command prompt. Any ideas?
