Hi Mark my understanding of this is that it is only obsolete in that you don't need to go through the pain of installing Runnix as separate step. You would normally install a whole image which includes both Runnix + Astlinux.
After that, you could if you wished, just upload upgrades of .run files to the runnix OS directory to make use of Runnix itself. Alternatively if you could just blow a whole new image of an upgrade over the old one.
