Hey,

From what I remember up to version 6.3, the default kernel does not have the modules for SATA interface.

Since most systems now runs on SATA disk, CD/DVD-ROM and SATA solid state disks, I think it would be a good idea to have the modules for SATA interface enabled by default in both the AstLinux image and the Runnix image.

A kernel update wouldn't hurt either. The real time timers in 2.6.20 doesn't work. We were able to get the real timer working properly with kernel 2.6.24 and up.

Cheers.

Hi,

I tried to install Astlinux on a SATA (sda) disk but I got the following error message when booting the first time:

Runnix device not found
/bin/sh: can't access tty: job control turned off

I have seen that several users are having the same issue but I haven ´t seen any solution. Is there any?

Best regards,
Benny Strömberg
