I spent some time last night looking into seeing what it would take to try
and build astlinux against glibc instead of uclibc.. but it looks like
somewhere along the lines, the options got yanked out to configure buildroot
for building against an external toolchain?

The idea here is that I can get dlopen to work or more specifically so I can
get dynamic extension loading to work in php. ive seen some references to
the fact that uclibc doesn't always care for libdl.

I also realize php doesn't like to cross-compile.. but when going from x86
to x86, I shouldn't have issues there..

I realize buildroot was designed for building against uclibc, but it seems
its possible to run it against glibc now. and with space not being an issue
id Like to give it a go.. and see if this helps me to get PHP running with
dlopen..

Maybe I should be joining the developer list I keep hearing people talk of?
