Hello, folks. I've finally gotten my hands on a T5700 (512M RAM,0F) and am
trying to boot Astlinux 0.76 from a 2G USB stick. I copied the generic 586
image to the stick via dd. The T5700 sees it fine and when I select "runnix"
from the menu, the boot proceeds past the initial load and 10-second pause and
then stops with some errors:

AstLinux medium not found
/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off

...then there are some scsi messages, basically saying it has mounted the USB
drive as sda.

Then nothing.

I've got a /bin/sh shell but nothing else.

Any ideas or pointers? Thanks!

-Pete
