Jamshaid, The net5501 is very picky on the CF card type that will work, basically Soekris suggests that only SanDisk CF cards are supported. Others may work, and some will not. BTW the PC Engines Alix (alix2d3 / alix2d13) boards do not have this problem. So, if you are not using a SanDisk CF card on your net5501, give one a try. Next, to make sure the CF is OK, use your CF -> USB dongle to mount the card on a PC desktop, you should see a "os" directory and such. This proves the CF card is written properly. Finally, if the above are satisfied and it still doesn't recognize the CF card, as Jason McCleary suggested you need to upgrade the BIOS of the net5501 to the latest 1.33c firmware. net5501 BIOS release version 1.33c http://soekris.com/media/software/b5501_133c.bin Upgrading the net5501 firmware is a real PITA, you need just the right flavor of XModem with a terminal program off the serial port.
