there are a couple things..

1] on a net5501 I started to have issues on a TE110 over 5 concurrent calls..
it requires quite a bit of processing...

2] who is the master clock? normally the PBX would be set to clock off of the
Carrier.. (the adtran 600R) the astlinux box would need to be the master clock..

if you are jamming up your soekris cpu usage heavily you may be generating a
bad timing signal and the nortel drops the D-channel...

Nortels are exceptionally picky..  if you set your span to clock off of the
network (rtiming source span 1).. then set up your nortel to clock internally..
this assures that the Nortel is creating the solid clock signal it needs to
function...

Subject: [Astlinux-users] Digium card HDLC errors

Hello,
I have a Nortel BCM50 phone system with a digital interface connected to the
telco through an Adtran.  The current telco is Integra.

I am trying to replace the Adtran 600R with an Astlinux box with a Digium
Wildcard TE110P T1 card.

My goal is to provide phone service over SIP to the asterisk box and a T1/PRI
connection to the BCM50.

I am using a 10' T1 crossover cable to connect to the BCM50

Astlinux 1.1.1 Asterisk version: 1.8.21.0

I have system accept calls and ringing through to the Nortel phones in the
network.  But occasionally I get the error below and the call gets dropped (or
disappear).

If anyone has some help on what could be causing these timing issues  or what I
have missed in my configuration.

Thx
Lach
