Thanks guys Bria does support SIP Simple (Peer to Peer) and XMPP Presence.
So do you think a polling script is viable? It looks pretty simple to do but I am concerned on the resource impact of running it every say 10 seconds. Would you be concerned about running asterisk -rx “sip show inuse” or making a request to Astman and then setting states this often? Just thinking about it, you could configure a config file with all the extensions you are interested in only. You would only need to sync XMPP Presence from Asterisk desk phones. Asterisk Presence will work as normal between phones and calls from Bria should set both Asterisk and XMPP Presence states.
