hi!

as has been discussed on madwifi lists and tickets, the current HAL version
0.9.30.13 from madwifi-trunk has some performance problems compared to
0.9.18.0 in madwifi-0.9.3 (stable). especially the OFDM sensitivity bug
described at http://madwifi.org/ticket/705 and the fact that we can't switch
ANI off seems to make the difference.

since we are now tracing a "bad", low performance HAL i am afraid this leads
to a low performance ath5k.

this is why i created the branch madwifi-trace-0.9.3. i want to see what
switching ANI off really does and see what other differences could cause the
performance drop.

now i miss the functionality of setting the function name which is done in
ath/if_ath_hal.h - is the same thing easy to do for 0.9.3 too?
