Hi Everybody,
I have a problem with ath5k driver, when removing it out of the kernel using
"rmmod ath5k" or "modprobe -r ath5k".
The System freezes (very fast) without giving any Log-Message. The Interface
should be "down". But ath5k is still using mac80211 (as it was reported when
trying "modprobe -r mac80211".

Relevant System properties:
Debian 4.1.2-21 using 2.6.24-1-686 Kernel
and
Ubiquiti SuperRange Cardbus Adapter (AR5213 chipset)

I got the driver downloading "compat-wireless-2.6.tar.bz2" from
linuxwireless.org. It seems that the changes between 2008-06-03 and 2008-07-10
causes the problem. With the ath5k-Version of 2008-06-03 there is no problem.
Of course - mac80211 changed between this time too.

As I saw with WinMerge there are some changes (in ath5k), that relate to all
the LED-functons - like "ath5k_register_led".

Is that the problem???
What do you think?

Now I'm using the "old" ath5k-Version of 2008-06-03 again.
But - maybe anybody can fix this.
Ask me if you need further information.

Jens
