HI For sometime now, there are some vendors who are providing this option where the WLAN does not broadcasst its ssid and the network remains hidden (for example for security by obscuirty).
Does anybody has any idea how this can actually work under ath5k. I dont think its because of removing the bssid field from beacons (or is it?). The other option is that beacon sending is stopped on that channel by the AP but the handful of STAs know about it and can talk to it but a normal WLAN without beacons is hard to fathom. ANy pointers on the said issues will be much appreciated! br aneeq
