Hi:

I got this link to a podcast about a new talking HDC radio the other day. Maybe some people here will enjoy this.

The original email is attached.

All the best,

Chris

Chris,

Here is a link for a demonstration of a portable HD radio that talks. The problem is, it doesn't talk enough, and some of its speech is rather useless and un-necessary.

The company is Sparc, spelled with a C rather than a K. Other than what is said in the podcast, I am not familiar with them.

This is not the unit that never materialized nearly 2 years ago.

Despite its limited talking ability, it is the first HD portable I have encountered that includes a speaker, and uses normal batteries, rather than having to be re-charged from a usb cable or charger.

The guy doesn't say how long the batteries will last.

You may need to copy the link into a text editor in order to get it all onto one line.
