Just for the record: many, many, many servers over the Internet don't pass OPTIONS to CGI scripts (namely, Apache –only fixed since 1.3.35, 2.0.56 and 2.1+, which are not yet widely deployed on low-cost shared hosting providers–), and some extensions mess with the Allow header (namely, PHP within Apache –fixed since PHP 5.1–). -- Thomas Broyer
