Doesn't really matter what your preference is. People *will* generate Atom content without "proper tools". They will not learn their lesson from a bunch of strict clients. Rather, there will be "street Atom", where Atom's namespace will have a bunch of elements with same local name as XHTML elements.
So do you think we'll have to live with that, or should the spec be clarified/changed to reduce the chance of people getting it wrong?
