I just tried it, and it doesn't seem to care about the namespace. Anyone who gets lazy and uses "alternate" instead of "feed" for their Atom 1.0 feed would be borked anyway, so I don't really see this as a valid "pro" argument.


BTW Are we seriously considering using a different rel value to every other feed format in existence, including our own, for no discernible reason?
