I believe I read a thread on the mythtv-users list that showed that
some stream were dropping/swapping the audio streams (maybe even the
subtitles) if there is a second audio stream (that was for the
visually impaired IIRC). I'd follow this up with the mythtv lists if I
were you. It looks very unlikely to stem from package based issues.
