gnomeradio uses OSS, I think, and I do not have sound nor can record with it
(there are dozens of complaints about this problem on google).
I need to use a software loopback (arecord | aplay) to listen from it,
and mplayer does not have an interface at all.

The best/most complete radio application is kradio4, but tkradio/fmtools
has all the features I need, and is very small.

The point is that in the past there were several radio applications that
worked.
Now, with only v4l2 in F12, very few can still be used. I am maintaining
kradio4 in ATrpms and Fedora, and I am a co-maintainer of gnomeradio and
fmtools, which have been patched to work. There is another one called
gqradio
under review, waiting for a good soul to review it.
