Axel, any chance of updating the stable repo (for el5 in my case as I'm a Centos 5 user) with the latest version of x11vnc? The version in stable is 0.9.3 which is 2.5 years old. The latest version is 0.9.9 which was released in Dec 09 and has some optimisations for use over a LAN (see http://www.karlrunge.com/x11vnc/#downloading)
