Sorry, this part wasn't quite correct. The prompt "C:\Windows>" was there, so cmd.exe did start as console-application (?) and didn't open its own window. Maybe pdflatex.exe ran in a similar way in the directory "C:\Windows>" and could not find helloworld.tex there? Regards, Ikumi Keita #StandWithUkraine #StopWarInUkraine
