Thomas:

I've made changes in the source code to address the translation points you raised.

If you are interested in seeing this in the code then this google page shows the changes (click on expand all)
http://code.google.com/p/audacity/source/detail?r=11654#

Red means removed, and green means new.

I've removed the need to translate 'Off-skip'. It was a bad piece of design in the user interface that allowed an effect to be skipped. The code we have in Audacity batch chains allows a user to leave out an effect they don't want, so old code that allowed effects to be skipped in this old way is being removed.

I'm looking for other changes I need to make for translation. For example I plan to make the Nyquist effects that we ship be translated too. This isn't in there yet. None of this is yet in the svn pot file.

Hello again.

Sorry, I forgot to include these strings as well which cannot be translated in Audacity 2.0:

3. Tracks > Edit labels
The labels of the various columns remain in English: Track - Label - Start Time - End Time, although they HAVE been translated.

4. Effects > Equalization
By accident, I had no curve on my screen, wherefore this box appeared in English. The strings are not available.
"Curve not found
Requested curve not found, using 'unnamed'"

5. Effects > Degree of Levelling
In Threshold for Noise, the last entry in the dropdown-box says "Off-skip". Not translatable

6. Effect > Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift
The last entry says in English "Dynamic transient sharpening" and is not translatable.
(By the way, can anyone explain what this is?)

Best regards,
