Hi, I am Belarusian software translator and I see that it is possible to
improve translation process of Audacity. :)
Now I am translating few projects on transifex.com. I was switched to this
platform from common *snv/git + .po* way because this platform have some
advantages:

   1. You can translate both offline (with your favorite tool) and online.
   2. You have automatically updated (from CVS) translation sources.
   3. You can use translation memory, glossary and some other cool
   translation features.
   4. There are no machine translation by default.
   5. You can restrict commits to owner/maintainer/translator/proofreader.
And you can open translation for write access for everyone.
   6. Community. I was started Audacity translation project on
transifex.com and
for couple of days some peoples started to translate the project without
any actions from me. They just was found interesting project and wanted to
   participate.
   7. It is completely free for open source projects.
   8. And it is very simple to use: you can upload/download translation
file from/to web, translate online, push/pull files with command line tool.

Can we move translation work to transifex.com? It is really simple and fast
work. :)
P. S. I am not affiliated with this platform any way. I just care for fast
and good translation workflow.
P. S. 2. There are some links: the Audacity
project<https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/audacity/> started
by me <https://www.transifex.com/accounts/profile/Klyok/>. I can delete
this project and Audacity developers can start the new one. But I can add
developers as maintainers. I really don't want to coordinate ALL
translation work, but I can help with this. :D
