No, please read what I wrote more carefully. The .php and .inc files
must have the correct line endings, but (because msgfmt is robust
about these things), the .po files don't care. Especially on the web
server itself, because it doesn't read them.

Because the latter is for translators, who won't have SVN commit
access. They don't need to worry. The page on editing SF.net is for
audacity developers with commit access, who do need to know about line
endings in the website content.
