No, the translation list here make sense although it can be better to sync
with the translation of itself.
I think this could be an encoding problem.

In option manner (or a voice? mood? way to say?, which I recommend, same as
current English version)
zh_CN.ResetPrefs=重置偏好设置
zh_TW.ResetPrefs=重置偏好設定
ja=設定をリセットする
In question manner (which may cause inconsistency and confusing):
zh_CN.ResetPrefs=是否重置偏好设置？
zh_TW.ResetPrefs=是否重置偏好設定？
ja=設定をリセットしますか?
Here notice that Japanese using different level of honorifics here, which
is different from other option. So I highly disrecommend it in question
manner.

Interestingly, the items in the language combo box is different every
startup (maybe?) and different while system language is changed (try Local
Emulator (recommended), AppLocale or similar softwares). If I use zh_CN
system language there is no Japanese but Korean and like 10 langauges. If I
use ja system language there is no Chinese but Korean and like 15
langauges. Totally no idea why and how.

Btw, Japanese language is also facing that problem as I mentioned before.
