For the next version of Audacity, I am working on the task of making
Preferences consistently show the self-names of available languages instead
of the inconsistent thing we now have, sometimes a self-name and sometimes
the English name.
Here is the list I have prepared, with a little bit of internet research.
Please suggest any corrections. Also, mkpoli, please help me: I don't know
the right way to distinguish the two Chinese locales.
There are 56 locales that had some degree of translation effort at some
time, though some of these are very out of date now and should perhaps be
hidden as real choices until they are much improved again.
