Audacity 2.3.0 has now been released.
In case someone wants to know https://www.audacityteam.org/ says "Latest version : 2.2.2" next to the download button but when visiting the link it says "Latest Version: 2.3.0" on the download page.
So maybe make the "Latest version : 2.2.2" automatic so it updates it self the same time as the rest.
