We are currently working towards Audacity 3.0.0. This will change the project file format from 'pile of files' to a single file. In the past many users were losing their audio because they did not realise that there were many small files. This is a big change and is perhaps no surprise that we still have some bugs to sort with it. We are hoping we will have the updated .pot file with new strings to translate on 14th Nov.
Hi, how would Audacity be as quick and responsive when editing audio then if it must rewrite an entire very big file for each change? And how will be managed FS file size limitations? Will there be the choice in the preferences to stay with the the old way?
