Good day! I’m an American now living in Vietnam for life. I’ve always been heavily involved with software and technology.
We are a team of 4 people are currently working on the Vietnamese translation of Audacity. As it stands right now I downloaded the .po file from GitHub and have been working on it (desktop poedit). It was already translated 40-50% by another gentleman. I anticipate around 10 more hours of work and then we’ll have a final file ready over 90% translated and double checked. As I understand, The default submission would be here on this mailing list. Of course that will be our next step. It would be quite helpful to use transifex as a collaborative platform. As it stands out team currently tries to collaborate over Skype and google docs. We’re making it work but it’s rather cumbersome. To wit I and we would appreciate the opportunity to use Transifex and would appreciate your acceptance of our request to join. I have thoroughly read and reviewed all documentation you all have provided. It’s very well laid out and very clear. If there are any other considerations or extra steps to follow outside of that, then please let me know. We look forward to making a very positive impact towards the adoption of Audacity software here in Vietnam. Lord knows they love their music and love their free software!
