Thanks for the status report.
Now, I know you like the idea of cross platform and such, but might I suggest, for windows at least, the possibility of using Quentin C's API that he created for screen reader and sapi support all in one? I forgot the name of it right now, but I think it's just a wrapper thing that you can put into projects.
I'm not sure what it's written in though.
