about the design system ... it is a system were you've get the hang of it. a few days ago i build myself 4 fleeds with ships of 600 of size and they have a power of 15 million each. but also two days i got attacked and near all my fleeds were vanished away. i do wonder if i got attacked at the past 24 hours cause i was quite busy with kingdom of loathing.
but the design system you should redo many times before you'll find a reasonable credit amout to pay for a system. try to get as far as below 1000 credits per system.
i'll check it out if i got attacked. and than i'll edit this post.
