About the heavy shield thing.
I think it would be nice if we can have different shield types with different strengths and weaknesses.
For example, a diamond shield would be possible. It blocks most attacks, but diamonds are weak against heat based attacks.
So if we use heat based weapons, diamond shield will be destroyed very easily.
Same for other shields, if we use iron shield yes, irons are very strong, but it has weaknesses against acids and extreme heat. So we got ways to break this shield easily.
Now, let's say you got a iron shield item. In my idea is, when you get any type of shields, your shield strength will be 100. Now if you get same type of shield again, the new shield will replace the previous shield, if the previous one is damaged. Otherwise it will do nothing.
And, for example, if you get an iron shield, your shield is 100 and you got hit by an extreme heat attack. Your shield can be destroyed at once. Is this a good idea?
