This is not a matter of passing the keys to the virtual machine, that's already done.
The insert key:
The insert key is not on the laptop keyboard as default. There are multiple ways of setting this up. What I do is to use a nice program called Sharp keys:

In this program, you can map whatever keys you want. The right command and option key is the right windows and right alt keys on the virtual machine, so you won't need those, since you have the same keys to the left of the spacebar. So you can just map those keys to an insert key and an applications key. Please note that since you are using Windows xp for some reason, you need the service pack installed to install sharp keys.
Control and arrow keys:
This is not something related to VmWare, but the Mac OS.
Go into system preferences, keyboard, select the shortcut tab (I'm sorry if that&
#039;s not what it's called in english) scroll through all the commands and remove the commands which uses ctrl up, down, left and right arrows. Those opens things like the launch pad and other things which I don't remember, which just is extremely annoying in my opinion.
