Re: VGStorm Presents Manamon, a new fully featured RPG!
@Jayde: Yeah, I'll save up any more life tonics I get. I know I don't need them, since I did figure out you get 1 training point per defeated mon. They're just a convenience. Niamanja is still not as effective as I'd like, certainly not as effective as he ended up being while pummeling stuff when I was lost in those tunnels, so getting an immediate boost to his strength certainly helps.
After hearing that about Friggle, I'm going to tentatively peg the learned moves in this game as one of its weak points. It sounds like there are no ways to learn moves other than level up, which no offense is kind of bland. Unless mons continue learning moves much later than they traditionally do in Pokémon, providing with a wider range. But a mon learning the only move of one of its types only if you refuse to transform it for a long time? I'm sorry, that is terrible design, especially since that's not something you get a warning about. If you, a beta tester hadn't told us, I doubt anyone would've found out, unless there's an NPC somewhere who mentions it.
Amentment:
@Spiraling Wyvern: Huh, interesting. I went around that house pretty thoroughly looking for hidden items, and I remember that bathroom, but I didn't find that. I'll have to go back and look again. Thanks for the tip!
I found the life tonic hidden outside that old guy's house near the jungle. There are a few items scattered around out there.
