I think you're on to something there. Both times I've unsubscribed from their email list I've had to start doing the password reset thing. That's fine though; I couldn't care less about their products, and forcing me to see them with emails isn't going to help in the slightest.
Now that we know what's causing this, I'll set up a spam filter so I don't have to see the emails, but they can still send them. It really shouldn't be like that though. I think we should be able to unsubscribe without deactivating our accounts.
