Re: Announcing the audiogames archive

@John, I don't know about Ftp, as I only ever used it once and it's years ago, besides, most of what I have are things you have anyway as I didn't tend to keep older versions.
I will however email you some sendspace links with some things you might find useful.
As regards Tom Ward and montizuma's revenge, my personal feeling is that I'd rather see it out there for people to play. It was Tom's most completed project, and he only discontinued work on it because of a crappy company run by greedy arse holes and their fat lawyers who sent him a cease and decist letter in 2009, basically because they had some half baked game project with the same name which wasn't the least accessible.
Tom actually could have fought that decision anyway, and while I don't blaime him for not doing so, at the same time it's a crying shame the thing got lost and tom was sent into a spiral of incomplete projects.

While I understand why Tom didn't want montizuma's revenge included in the archive while he was alive in case said bloody idiotic company sent him more crap, I don't think that reason holds currently, indeed Phil vlasac was talking about archiving Tom's work just after we heard he'd died.

So, I'll send you the demo of Montizuma's revenge (I have both tom's and the very Old Alchemy one from james north), and you can make up your mind as regards what to do with them.

To everyone else, for game descriptions if your looking for a game that's what audiogames.net is for and what myself and the other moderators spend a lot of our time working on. That is why I'm so excited about the archive, since it now means games like Night of Parasite which were long since thought to be lost to the dustbin of history can be played by anyone.
