OK, a couple things to keep in mind here.
1. Batteries decay. It's been almost a year since the outbreak. Stagnant batteries, especially larger batteries, go to shit after that long.
2. There is nothing to indicate that the upgrade to ink is natural. Nothing at all. I don't have any idea where you're getting that, but you might as well explain it. Because there's nothing even indicating that he should be the leader of the zombies, unless you suddenly think that tattoos have power. Please, do explain your logic here.
