am I right that if you're going to record any TTS's, then you'll have to care about copyright, if you don't choose a free TTS? For that reason I think it's best to just use sapi, if you can't get real voices recorded. You might ask Thomas Ward regarding to sapi and copyrights, because he know all about that.
