Re: I'm kind of concerned about the culture surrounding usability
Its not an unfair argument to make, there's been an increase in stem cell and organ fabrication research lately but its still a ways off. There's been more recent genetic [research] wherein they can knockout the gene's for the heart in a host organism, in this case a pig, and inject human gene's in its place to grow a human heart in said pig for transplatation. The rational for this being that we kill animals for food anyways, so why not grow replacement organs in them, such as eye's for example. Needless to say this seems really ethically uncomfortable, how much human could you have in an animal before it isn't an animal anymore, and at whatf point are we just putting a literal pigs face on human grown sacrifices? Its like the Island meets Charlotte's Web.
