dell inspirons are pretty good, as are compact/hp ones. there are also special pcs for the blind available from gw micro (smart talk ultra), seratec (serfboard), and beyond sight (laptalk). for nistalga's sake, there's also the nec 231 with an accent speech synthesizer and the dos version of jaws.
