Re: texture sensitivity
Have you heard of ASMR? It stands for autonomous sensory meridian response. Stealing a definition from Google, "Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a term used for an experience characterized by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. It has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia." In essence, certain sounds can trigger these responses. there are a ton of ASMR YouTube videos. I feel like this may have been brought up on the forum in an older thread.
I twitch at pulling hair out of my hairbrush. I do it with my bare hands because it's easier and I just push through it, but i'm really not a fan of that texture. I know there was something else I had a stronger negative reaction to, but I can't remember what it is right now!
