I think everyone's getting too hung up on the issue of romance. I actually really like the way it is now. There's just enough there that, if I want to, I can imagine how things might progress further.
New game plus is indeed broken, but I'm sure they'll fix it eventually.
Now that I've done pretty much everything there is to do in the game, I'm paying more attention to the mechanics. For instance, I've discovered that the steelflesh robes actually restrict magic by what looks like 15%. Would have been nice to know that before I equipped them on Gwen, but it's all right. 15% isn't that big of a deal.
