Well Alex, it is true that Hentai is its own genre and there are specifically produced Japanese hentai, however Hentai these days has come to mean any cartoon style drawings of a dodgy adult nature. For example, I was putoff the Mega man board on Gamefaqs when i saw several topics with the title "looking for Roll hentai" (Roll is the blond haired girl robot who is mega man's sister in the game series).
Regarding things from the start, well that's actually a bit of a me thing. From years of the Rnib sending me book series out of order, I have got into the habbit of really! wanting to do series of books or tv programs in the correct order, even when the plots are episodic in nature. That being said, it usually pays off even with episodic series anyway sinse they usually have long term developements or recurring characters, plus introductory episodes usually serve as an over all introduction to the series as a hole.
As I said, For christmas I got Buffy and Angel on dvd. I have not watched buffy yet, because when it was on I saw a random episode out of order but was definitely not a fan, partly because I had little idea who was who or what was actually happening.
That's another reason I want to watch through the series now.
