Would you be surprised if I told you that C is simpler than C++, and tha C is actually (and probably) easier to learn as a result? Granted, you don't have vectors and templates, but templates overcomplicate everything and make everything harder to understand both for the reader and the compiler.
C++ is not used for android app development unless your making games. Its mainly used with the nadroid NDK, where you develop drivers and such fro the OS; not actual applications. If you want something that lets you develop native apps on Android though, check out Rust and the android-rs-glue crate, which allows you to wrie android apps in rust. You'll still need the android SDK and KDK though.
