A data folder, in bgt?

So I want to make a game with a data folder, kinda like bk3, where it had data, and then a bunch of different dat files.

I need some help with this.

The sounds should be easy enough, just use pack_creator. But what about save files.dat?

I guess I don't even have much of a game yet, but I want to make multiple save slots, and the game world it self is massive, with loooooooots of variables to keep track of.
How would I, one, save this all into one file, and two, read it and convert it to my variables in game after loading?

I have another question for this, but that can wait, because I need to write a whole parcer to even get it to work, and I want this to work furst.
