It's like advertisers who use words like "AI" to attract investors: investors, usually being only money-minded and not particularly tech-savvy but still knowing that "AI is cool," tend to gobble up software that touts "through employing cutting-edge AI" when in reality it could just be some basic genetic algorithm at play.
In a similar fashion, advertisers pull us in by using buzz words like cutting-edge, award-winning, etc. It's no coincidence that Freedom Scientific lists themselves rather prominently as the world leader of screen-reading software. Most of the audience--government agencies--don't know better. So their first thought is, well if they're the leader, they must have good stuff. "Tried and trusted technology" as the saying goes. I'd experiment with it re: Cosmic Rage. Sure some people might rip you apart but in my experience those are the ones that didn't think of it first...LOL.
