What are the Dumbest Scammers/Spambots You’ve Ever Seen
I suppose I should start. When I was a kid, I used to do really stupid things on my computer that ended up getting me infected with adware or viruses. One day, when I was about to browse the forum, I got a spam message saying something to the effect of, “hi. My name is Shelly, and I am the leading director of audiogames.net. We request that you take a brief survey on our website.“ Now, I was a really dumb kid at the time. However, even I knew that this was bogus. These scammers really need to work on coding their stuff better, because anybody who uses audiogames.net will know that this is poppycock. Who are they expecting to fool? Shirley not anybody who browses this website on a daily basis?
Other than that I’ve had my fair share of dumb scammer encounters; the guy who told me to give him my bank account information so that he could buy me some beer after trying to convince me he wasn’t a scammer was priceless.
