Re: How do I go about creating, editing or compressing soundfonts?
I,
I use Polyphone 1.9 to create SoundFonts. I know, there's Polyphone 2.0 and 2.1 but the developer changed the entire UI and it is very awkward to use with NVDA. Polyphone is getting better in features, such as more support of SFZ opcodes, and full modulator support (this means that you can apply modulators, but as of version 2.1 you can hear the effect of the modulators applied). But a lot of SoundFont players don't have full modulator support. Same thing for VST that "loads" SoundFonts; the majority of VSTs that "loads" SoundFonts are inaccurate, much more than standard SoundFont players i.e. the BASSMIDI library used by VirtualMIDISynth, BASSMIDI Driver (obsolete) OmniMIDI (a fork of BASSMIDI Driver and kode54 recommends it himself) etc.
